What are the Recommended Ages for Roominate?
Many of our products are designed for ages 6+, with our “sweet spot” being ages 6-10. Some sets are more challenging, so we recommend them for ages 8+. Keep in mind that, as with many toy products, this age range is simply a guideline that can vary on a case-by-case basis. We recommend adult supervision with any child under 6 years old, as the toy contains small parts.

Is This Toy Just for Girls?
Nope! That’s the beauty of Roominate: both genders have fun playing. Roominate founders Alice and Bettina created the toy to help bridge the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) through early childhood play. They noticed that the toys they played with when they were young helped influence their passions and eventual career paths. While we aim to get more girls involved in STEM, we are 100% on board with supporting boys too!
I bought/received a Roominate building kit and don’t want it. Can I return it for a refund?
If you bought the item from a store or another online retailer, you will need to return it to the retailer where it was purchased. If you made your purchase directly through us, via online or by phone, please call us at (800) 524-4263 to get a return authorization number. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase less shipping and handling within 30 days of the date of purchase. All return shipping charges must be prepaid. We cannot accept C.O.D deliveries. It is recommended that you use UPS, Fed Ex or insured Parcel Post for your return. Keep the Return Tracking Number for your return package to monitor delivery service.

What Smart Devices Work with the Roominate App?
Your smart device needs Bluetooth 4.0, also known as Bluetooth Low Energy, to work with the Roominate app. Please check with your device’s manufacturer to ensure that it has Bluetooth 4.0. The following is a non-exhaustive list of compatible Apple devices:
- iPhone 4s (and later)
- iPad 3rd generation (and later)
- iPad Mini (all versions)
- iPad Air (all versions)
Android Devices can check compatibility through their manufacturer, or by downloading this app that checks BLE compatibility.
I’m Not In the USA or Canada. Where Can I Get Roominate?
